Apple Butter

4 pounds apples
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Peel, core and slice apples. Place in slow cooker.

Cover and cook on HIGH 2-3 hours. Reduce to LOW and cook 8 hours.

Stir in spices. Cook on HIGH 2-3 hours with lid off. Stir until smooth.

Pour into freezer containers and freeze or pour into sterilized jars and seal.

Makes 2 pints apple butter.
