1 onion
2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms
1 (10 ounce) can French onion soup
1 (6 ounce) package herb stuffing mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Cut beef into 5 to 6 serving-size pieces. Slice onion and separate into rings.
In oblong slow cooker, place steak pieces and top with mushrooms and onions. Pour soup over ingredients in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours.
Just before serving, combine stuffing mix, seasoning packet, butter plus 1/2 cup liquid from cooker and toss to mix.
Place stuffing mixture on top of steak and increase to HIGH. Cover and cook an additional 15 minutes or until stuffing is fluffy.
