4 to 4 1/2 pounds beef short ribs
1 onion, sliced
1 teaspoon seasoned black pepper
1 (12 ounce) jar beef gravy
1 (1.3 ounce) envelope beef gravy mix
Spray 6 quart slow cooker with vegetable cooking spray and place beef ribs inside.
Cover with onion and sprinkle with black pepper.
In small bowl, combine beef gravy and dry gravy mix and pour over ribs and onion.
Cover and cook on LOW for 9 to 11 hours.
(The ribs must cook this long on LOW to tenderize.)
Serve with hot mashed potatoes and gravy.
