Honey Mustard Chicken Wings

3 pounds chicken wings
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
4 lemon slices, thinly sliced

Rinse chicken and pat dry. Cut off wing tips and discard. Cut each wing at joint to make 2 pieces. Salt and pepper both sides of chicken wings. Place wings on broiler rack and broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for about 10 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking time. Place broiled chicken wings in slow cooker.

Combine honey, barbecue sauce, mustard and garlic in small bowl and mix well. Pour sauce over chicken wings in slow cooker. Top with lemon slices.

Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours.

Remove and discard lemon slices. Serve wings with sauce.

Makes about 24 appetizers.
