Red Beans And Rice With Ham

1 pound beef smoked sausage, sliced
1 ham slice (8 ounces) cubed
1 small onion, diced
2 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon Mexican (adobo) seasoning with pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
Hot cooked rice
Soak beans overnight; rinse and drain.
Place beans in slow cooker. Add sausage, ham, onion and water. Season with Mexican seasoning and red pepper.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours or until beans are tender; stirring every 2 hours, if necessary.
Serve over rice.
Makes 6 servings.
