Smothered Steak Recipe

1 1/2 pounds lean round steak
1 onion, halved, sliced
2 (10 ounce) cans golden mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups hot, thick and chunky salsa

Trim fat from steak and cut into serving-size pieces.

Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon pepper and place in sprayed 5 to 6-quart slow cooker.

Place onion slices over steak.

Combine mushroom soup and salsa and mix well. Spoon over steak and onion.

Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours.

Serves 4 to 6.
